EC restore membership of 2 more MPs

ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner Justice (r) Hamid Ali Mirza on Tuesday restored the membership of a member of the National Assembly and another of the Punjab Assembly after they submitted details of their assets.

The lawmakers’ membership had been suspended over their failure to submit statements of their assets and liabilities by the deadline. The restored parliamentarians are MNA Syed Muhammad Salman Mohsin Gillani and MPA Muhammad Akhlaq, according to a statement.

The chief election commissioner had restored the membership of three MNAs and seven MPAs of the Punjab and Balochistan provincial assemblies on Monday after they submitted details of their assets. app
